Welcome to Nyborg Public Library
The library is open to everybody and we are able to collect information to suit anybody’s needs – adults as well as children, Danes as well as people with another cultural background and language.
Free of charge
Using the library is free of charge. You may enter the library without any specific purpose and read the current newspapers, magazines and books.
However, if you wish to borrow books, CDs or other materials to take home with you, you must be a registered user of the library. Adults use their medical card, we provide children with a library card.
To become a library user
Please bring some ID. Bring some valid identification such as your medical card, drivers license or passport.
Children under the age of 15 can have a special library card issued to them. Remember always to bring your medical or library card when visiting the library.
Your library card is personal and may not be used by others.
You are responsible for all materials borrowed with your medical or library card.
31 days are the usual lending period but
some books or cd's are so popular that in order to allow most people possible to enjoy them you are only allowed to lend these for 14 days.
You get a receipt
It tells you what you borrowed, and when to return it
If 31 days aren’t enough
You can renew your loans except for books and cd’s which have been reserved by other users and except for the popular books or movies with a limited lending period of 14 days.
Internet
The library also provides you with computers connected to the Internet. This is also free but requires that you book time. We will also help you to start searching the Internet and obtaining an e-mail address, if you aren’t familiar with using computers and the Internet.
